Today has been a day of celebrating our students achievements this half term. It has been brilliant to see them recognise their hard work with their certificates. 🏆

Our yourg people have then focused on learning the game of Handball and they have loved it! 🤾‍♀️

We might have even uncovered some hidden talents!Some of their shooting has been unstoppable. ❌

We have been working on some cricket skills this morning and we are so impressed! Our young people have quickly understood some rules and have been able to take part in a competitive game. There were some huge shots and a few sixes were hit! 🏏

We have also taken part in our BMX session with @access_sportuk and our young people have loved using the ramp for the first time to begin their races. 🚲

What a brilliant day we’ve had working towards achieving our football and table tennis awards ⚽️🏓

Our staff also got very competitive and it was great to see our students engaging in this environment. Some of our young people can often struggle with competition, like us all at times, but today they have competed and acknowledged their wins and defeats successfully.👏

The highlight of our day was using slow motion to analyse our shooting techniques in football. This allowed for better understanding and reinforced the coaching points! 🎥

A huge well done to all involved! 💪

We have also been working towards a range of sports awards this week! Our football course has been a firm favourite with our young people and they are improving each day! ⚽️

Our second session with @access_sportuk has certainly enhanced our young people’s confidence and BMX skills! Our group are now confident enough to compete against each other and have really pushed themselves out of their comfort zones to complete a whole lap of the course! 🚲

This experience has certainly ignited an interest from our young people and we love to see them engaged and enjoying themselves!

We have also found some talented young basketball players today! Our young people engaged brilliantly and shown some amazing shooting skills during a 3 v 3. Our staff team were very impressed! 🏀

This week we have started our new module in maths, looking at probability! As you can see, we’ve have had some fun looking at the probability and chance of winning some games. 🃏

We are looking forward to seeing our students’ creative ideas next week, when they create their own games! 👀

This morning we decided to change our work environment and our students have produced some amazing work. They’ve managed to create an online poster focusing on their understanding of the use of facts and opinions in newspaper articles! 🗞️

As a way to reward their efforts, we’ve spent the afternoon at Tree Top Golf! Neither of our students had played mini golf before and they have absolutely loved it! They even managed a few hole in one’s! ⛳️

We started the day with some Spikeball and a Spider-Man work out! The students were brilliant but the staff need to up their game! 🥵

Our students have also had amazing English and maths sessions and are making steps towards achieving their current modules for their awards! 📈

This afternoon we have continued with our dodgeball online learning course and our young people have absolutely smashed it! Keep up the good work everyone! 💪

Today was also a very proud day for everyone at Stepping Stones. We are delighted to recognise our students efforts from last year. Our students have received their Sports Leaders Award and as you can see are very happy 😁

What an amazing first day back at Stepping Stones 💫

Our students have immersed themselves straight back into their education! 📚

Today, we have created our own email addresses, started our online dodgeball courses and have continued with our ASDAN awards calculating holiday prices! 🏖️

With the weather at the moment, it certainly made us all feel a little bit warmer looking at the holidays ☀️

We have witnessed some amazing teamwork and research skills today 👏

As we’ve had two weeks off, our day had to finish with some arena football ⚽️

We started the day off at Kick Air. We’re not sure who enjoyed it more, the students or the staff? Everybody loved it, especially challenging the staff to a dual.🤼‍♀️

We then explored the Christmas Markets. Our students were in their element and thouroughly enjoyed the experience. They left well fed, bearing gifts and with massive smiles on their faces. 🎅

“I’m loving life right now” was the phrase of our day! It’s these words and experiences that make our role so rewarding. 😁
